Does James Bond really die in No Time to Die?

James Bond death

James Bond dies at the end of No Time to Die.

In the final Daniel Craig Bond movie, 007 dies from an airstrike. The audience watches as missiles land at his feet and obliterate the part of the island he is standing on.

Though viewers don’t see his body literally being torn apart, and there is no confirmed discovery of his body, there is very little chance that Bond survives.

Daniel Craig’s tenure as Bond ends with the character dying a heroic death. He successfully saves his partner and daughter, defeats the main bad guy, and then opens the blast doors to allow the airstrike to wipe out a deadly virus.

Craig’s Bond has been haunted by tragedy from the get-go, with the twist ending of Casino Royale being a shock to both Bond and the audience. This has followed the character through to this final movie.

In the end, Bond is poisoned by the virus and forced to never make physical contact with his partner and daughter. It’s yet another tragic moment for the character, but he’s ultimately happy knowing that he has been loved and dies protecting everyone.
