MultiVersus Player Count

MultiVersus Player Count Passes 10 Million

The MultiVersus player count has reached an impressive milestone of over 10 million across all platforms, and this number looks like it will continue to grow at a healthy pace. Given that the Smash-inspired, free-to-play fighter launched on July 19 in closed beta before reaching open beta on July 26, this means that the game has averaged over 3 million new players every week so far. It looks like Warner Bros. and Player First Games have a clear winner on its hands before the game has even reached a Season 1 release.

MultiVersus player count stats on Tracker Network and Steam Charts

MultiVersus Player Count

According to Tracker Network, a website that tracks stats for many popular multiplayer games, MultiVersus has at the time of this writing over 10.3 million total players over the past three weeks. These numbers seem to be quite reliable given that the site goes through the game’s API to tally its results. The site also states that there are about 58,000 playing the game on Steam, which is corroborated by Steam Charts that says the game has approximately 59,000 concurrent users.

Delving more deeply at the graph on Steam Charts for the past seven days, the fighter currently has anywhere between 40,000 to 80,000 players depending on the time of day. It has fallen from its all-time peak of 153,000, but this decline is expected for most games after being made available to the public. Even more impressive, MultiVersus comfortably sits within the top fifteen games on Steam for concurrent users, hovering at around the ballpark of the other player bases for Destiny 2, Warframe, and Dead by Daylight. That’s fantastic for a game that isn’t a MMORPG, MOBA, or first-person shooter.

Over the past week, a series of Multiversus leaks and datamines have revealed a potential roster of 31 new characters. As the open beta continues, several broken combos like one between Velma and Jake will hopefully be fixed by the time Season 1 launches later. It was originally scheduled for an August 9 release, but the first season has been delayed to an unspecified time.

In other news, Embark Studios has announced an Arc Raiders delay due to the developer putting Project Discovery first, and patch notes for Apex Legends Season 14 see Skull Town rise again.
