Alan Wake 2 Inventory Upgrade Locations: How to Increase Inventory Space

The Alan Wake 2 inventory upgrade locations are pivotal for those who don’t want to pick and choose what to take on missions. But these upgrades are spread out through the map and aren’t specifically marked, which means they can be difficult to track down. Here’s how to increase inventory space in Alan Wake 2.

Alan Wake 2 Inventory Upgrade Locations: How to Increase Inventory Space

To increase your inventory space in Alan Wake 2 as Saga, you will have to find small pouches out in the wild. There are three of them, and they are all hidden away.

However, it is much more straightforward as Alan, as you simply need to find one of the few Words of Stuff collectibles and spend that upgrade point on the Magic Pocket upgrade. There’s one Words of Stuff in the spotlights section of the rooftops area of the Dark Place hub and another in the bar in the ballroom inside the hotel that you will see during Initiation 8: Zane’s Film.

The first inventory upgrade for Saga is near the beginning of the game and in the convenience store near the Lady Fortuna code with the shotgun. It’s just on the ground where the man in the dear mask jumped out of, which is the same room that has the freezer with the heart in it.

The second inventory upgrade is just after the section where Saga brings Alan Wake into her reality. While on the beach near Cauldron Lake, go through the linear path and go right when the route forks. Crouch walk under a piece of wood to see a stash box where the lock plays back the buttons you need to press. Match the order, open the stash, and retrieve the next row of inventory space.

The final inventory upgrade is in Bright Falls in the harbor just south of the sheriff’s station. Use the bolt cutters to open the gate and you will see a stash box. It hints that players need to look at the wooden poles in the harbor to find the code.

Search just outside of the little warehouse with the stash to see the first number (6), go to the other side of the harbor for the second number (9), and go near the edge of the dock near the first pole to see another pole that has the final number (7) at the very bottom. Put in 697 to open the box and get the final inventory upgrade.
