Modern Warfare 3: How to Play COD MW3 Early on PS5, PS4, Xbox, and PC Steam

Many players want to know how to play COD MW3 early, specifically those playing the game on PC via Steam. Console players on PlayStation and Xbox will have access to the game later on today, November 9, at 10pm PST. PC players can stary playing on November 9 at 9 PM PST. That’s just the official release times, though. There are actually several ways to try and enter MW3 multiplayer right now depending on your platform. Here’s how to access Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

How to access MW3 early

Below are some ways you can start playing MW3 multiplayer before the official release time reaches your time zone:

  • Xbox – Head to the console Settings menu, then System and Language & Location. From here, set your location to New Zealand, where the game is currently available. And then restart your console and start playing MW3 early. You will also need to change your address field in your Activision account profile to New Zealand as well or this trick won’t work.
  • PlayStation – Like the Xbox instructions, make sure your Activision profile is set to New Zealand. Then launch Call of Duty HQ and you should be able to enter multiplayer or Zombies.
  • PC Method 1 – Get a player who has access on Xbox or PlayStation consoles to invite you to a multiplayer game. This is the easiest solution. If you need to find someone, you can check various forums for an invite.
  • PC Method 2 – You can try tricking the system by going to the MW2 menu and clicking on multiplayer. Then after it says it is launching, wait for the black screen to appear and then close the game via Task Manager. Then quickly relaunch Call of Duty HQ on Steam. If done right, this will boot you to the MW3 multiplayer lobby. It may take several tries to get in this way, though.
