Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the twentieth installment in the Call of Duty series. With this new rebooted MW3 release comes a new revamped Zombie mode called Operation Deadbolt. The game lasts for a duration of one hour, with 45 minutes to fight of the zombies and another 15 minutes to take their loot and exfil from the map.

A maximum total of 24 players can play this mode together on a server which is a major change from the previous zombie mode. This includes a maximum of eight squads consisting of three players each in a single game. Players have to land, collect resources, and fight off the zombies while upgrading their loot to make their way to the exfil points.
The game has three zones with increasing levels of difficulty. At the end of the 45-minute timer, players then have 15 mins to get to the exfil points. At the exfil points, choppers will land to rescue the players. Zombies will also attack players as they wait for their extraction. Teams have to constantly upgrade their loot to survive the zombie attacks as they progress into the zones with higher difficulty to obtain even better loot.

The maximum squad size for Operation Deadbolt is three which has been reduced from the previous game. The DMZ mode in Modern Warfare 2 previously showed a similar change. Even with a reduced squad size of three, the game consists of a maximum of 24 players. These eight squads are technically on the same team, against the zombies.
Operation Deadbolt is a fun-filled zombie mode that can also get stressful at times when facing large hordes of zombies. A little help and support from your fellow teammates makes this game mode easier. While obtaining better loot in the game is important it is also important to not lose the loot during the game. Weapons and perks can be carried forward to the next game in Operation Deadbolt. For this reason, queuing with others in your party might seem helpful.
