Ranting Splatoon Fan Interrupts Nintendo Shareholder Meeting

Shareholder meetings are often full of numbers and stats. However, a recent Nintendo shareholder meeting was interrupted by an annoyed Splatoon 3 fan.

They yelled about Splatoon 3’s customization options

As reported on by Video Games Chronicle, Twitter NStyles reportedly attended the event and said a fan was loudly asking about the perceived preferential treatment female avatars get in the colorful shooter. They allegedly complained that the male customization options were lackluster in comparison. President Shuntaro Furukawa apparently told the person that their question was too long before cutting them off and saying that Nintendo appreciated that they had played the game.

The person then seemed to out themselves on Twitter and said they specifically bought ¥512,000 (around $3,570) worth of Nintendo shares to attend and air their grievances. They also posted photos of the times they had tried to contact Nintendo about their problems with the game and even said they sold a Switch to raise enough money for the shares.

While a different game, another fan asked about a new entries in the F-Zero, Baten Kaitos, Wario Land, The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls, Trade & Battle: Card Hero and Chōsōjū Mecha MG franchises in June 2022. Furukawa said Nintendo can’t make sequels to “every series fans request.”
